NovaOrbis ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining a safe and secure environment for all users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
IMPORTANT: NovaOrbis is strictly intended for individuals aged 18 and older. By using this app, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly and information collected automatically when you use the app.
a. Personal Information
- Name
- Email address
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Profile details (bio, interests, preferences)
- Photos and uploaded content
- Location (if enabled)
b. Usage Data
- Matches, likes, and interactions
- Messages and communication activity
- Participation in live video rooms
- Device type, operating system, and log data (IP address, timestamps)
c. Communications and Safety Data
- Reports, blocks, and user interactions
- Content may be reviewed for moderation and safety purposes
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Match you with other users
- Enable messaging and live video features
- Personalize your experience
- Improve app performance and functionality
- Monitor activity for safety and abuse prevention

3. Safety, Moderation, and User Protection
We prioritize user safety and enforce strict community standards.
- Zero tolerance for harassment, abuse, exploitation, or inappropriate behavior
- Users can report and block others directly in the app
- Reports are reviewed and may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent account removal
- We actively monitor content and behavior to maintain a safe environment
- We may cooperate with law enforcement where required
4. Age Restriction and Child Safety
NovaOrbis is strictly for users aged 18 and older.
- We do NOT allow minors to use the app
- We do NOT knowingly collect data from individuals under 18
- Any accounts identified as minors will be immediately removed
- Any content involving minors will be removed and reported to appropriate authorities
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for any form of child exploitation or abuse.

5. Data Sharing
We do NOT sell your personal data.
We may share limited data with trusted service providers:
- Firebase (authentication, database, storage)
- RevenueCat (subscription and purchase management)
We may also disclose information:
- To comply with legal requirements
- To enforce our policies
- To protect users and platform integrity
Your profile information is visible to other users as part of the app experience.

We use industry-standard security measures, including:

- Secure cloud infrastructure
We comply with applicable data protection laws and regulations. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no system is completely secure.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:

You can delete your account through: Settings → Delete Account
Account deletion permanently removes your data.
You may also contact us to request a copy of your data.
8. Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand usage patterns and improve app performance.
We do NOT use third-party advertising tracking.
9. Third-Party Services
Our app uses third-party services such as Firebase and payment processors. These services operate under their own privacy policies.
10. Data Retention
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations.
When you delete your account, your data is permanently removed from our systems within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page.
12. Account Deletion
You can delete your NovaOrbis account and personal data at any time. You do not need to reinstall the app to make this request. A dedicated public deletion page is available at /delete-account.
12.1 In-app deletion
- Open NovaOrbis on your phone.
- Sign in if needed.
- Tap your Profile icon (bottom-right).
- Tap the Settings icon (top-right).
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm. Your account is removed and you are signed out.
12.2 Email deletion request
If you cannot access the app, send a request from the email address on your account to support@novaorbis.com with the subject line “Delete my account”. Include the email address or phone number associated with your account.
12.3 What gets deleted
- Profile information (display name, age, gender, bio, interests, location)
- Profile photos, videos, and voice notes
- Messages, comments, replies, gifts, and reactions you sent
- Match history, likes, and conversations
- Account credentials and authentication tokens
- Device identifiers tied to your account
12.4 What may be retained
For legal, financial, and safety reasons, a limited subset of data may be retained after deletion:
- Payment and subscription records — required by tax and accounting laws (typically up to 7 years).
- Safety reports and moderation records — to protect other users from repeat abuse, harassment, or fraud.
- Fraud prevention logs — device, account, and transaction signals used to detect repeat offenders.
- Legal compliance records — where retention is required by applicable law, court order, or regulatory request.
These records are kept only as long as legally required and then deleted.

13. Child Safety & Age Requirement
NovaOrbis treats child safety with the highest seriousness and operates a zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse, exploitation, or any content or behavior that endangers minors. This section supplements Section 4 above.
- NovaOrbis is strictly for adults 18 years of age and older.
- Users under 18 are prohibited from creating accounts or using the Service. Submitting false age information is a violation of our Terms.
- We do not knowingly collect, store, or process personal information from anyone under 18.
- If we discover, suspect, or are informed of an underage account, we will suspend or permanently delete it immediately and remove associated personal data.
- Users can report underage users, abuse, exploitation, harassment, or inappropriate conduct directly in the app (profile → report) and via email.
- We actively moderate user content (profiles, photos, videos, messages, voice, and live streams) and investigate every report of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or exploitation. Confirmed CSAM is reported to the relevant authorities (including NCMEC where applicable), offending accounts are permanently banned, and the device is blocked from re-registration.
- We comply with the Google Play Child Safety Standards for dating and social apps, the Apple App Store child safety guidelines, and applicable child protection laws (including COPPA, GDPR-K, and local equivalents).
- For urgent safety concerns involving a minor, contact support@novaorbis.com with the subject line “URGENT Child Safety Report”. We treat these reports as priority.
Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided us with personal data should contact support@novaorbis.com and we will delete the data and the account without delay.
